 | 09:25 pm - You weren't expecting to see this icon again were you? Whilst Simon B-Movie ( Sexbat as was) is struggling with sarcoid arthritis and can barely get a CD out of the case, let alone cue up vinyl, and The Ingenue is no longer the innocent we're drifting further and further from the music and the mayhem. Once upon a time we were the bastion of excess - the baddest, the loudest, the craziest, and the first.
But all that remains is that "Once upon a time..."
I'm writing a book, another one, and this one is almost, but not quite entirely the story of the B-Movie Sound System. It'll be lies - all lies - perfect punk-rock lies.
The thing is, I was wasted the whole time and I remember next to nothing. So if you can help fill in the gaps I'd like to hear from you. I'm after some interviews with B-Movie regulars, B-Movie occasionals, or your memories of the club - however hazy.
I can't promise you the truth; I can't promise I will use what you give me; all you can have is a name check in the acknowledgements of a book that will probably never get published; hell it will probably never get finished - and my thanks.

 | 11:33 am - Help for Haiti

Sometimes something happens and you cannot ignore it and you cannot sit back and do nothing while it occurs. Victimless Voodoo is the result of knowing that while the people of Haiti were suffering there was something we could do to alleviate that. A small idea has turned into an amazing event being organised to make sure we can contribute towards the vast amount of money needed to rebuild Haiti and take care of its injured, homeless and helpless after the awful quake that shattered the already very fragile infrastructure of the country. Here are all the details of the night. Please do attend, spread the word or just donate. All the links are here to do just that. No one but the people of Haiti are making a penny from this. Victimless Voodoo - Help for Haiti Boston Arms, Tufnell Park, London N19 SUNDAY 24th January 2010 Entrance is £5 Boston Arms have kindly let us use their venue to organise a phenomenal night of Music and Cabaret to raise money for Haiti. All the people involved in this gig have given their time, products and performances for free. EVERY SINGLE PENNY MADE IS GOING TO HAITI. The kindness, speed and help that each person has already given is phenomenal and we hope that this will prove to be a wonderful night that will bring in a lot of money to help those people who need it so desperately. We have decided to give all the money to Action Aid as that will ensure that ALL funds go directly to the Haitians. ( more details )

 | 08:59 am - B E A U T Y The Beauty New Years Eve party is only a few days away!
If you haven't got your tickets yet and are worried that you have left it too late fear not! They are e-tickets so all you need to do is buy them, and then turn up on the night and give your name to the person on the door - best to bring some ID along just in case we don't know you by name. You can get the tickets from http://www.playbat.org
Alternatively, if you haven't made your mind up, you can get tickets on the door, on the night. We've got a fine selection of cocktails, lovely bar staff, a lighting rig hired in especially, and my favourite DJs playing for your dancing pleasure.
Dress up, drink up, and let go - into the future!
